I’m writing this next blog because I get quite a few people ask me about my hair, and how it grows as fast as it does.

After bleaching my hair blonde, and wearing hair extensions, then using more chemicals and dye to colour my hair back to ginger, my hair became thinner and shorter. Surprise, surprise!

However over the past few months I have seen a dramatic change in my hairs health, condition and length.

And here’s why…

‘Skin, Hair & Nails’ and ‘Biotin’

I take hair tablets. I take 2 a day, and have been doing for approximately 6 months now. It all started about 8 months ago, I saw all these advertisements for vitamins, tablets and chewable sweets to make your hair grow faster and thicker, immediately I was interested and drawn in, especially after having my hair extensions taken out and having around 4 inches cut of my hair. But I just couldn’t justify the £25-£40 prices for just a months supply of tablets that may or may not work… However a couple weeks after my temptation for hair tablets , my close friend came into work with these ‘Skin, Hair & Nails’ tablets. I questioned what they were and he told me he had got them from ‘Home Bargains’ for only £1.50. I immediately checked the back for the ingredients and compared them to the ones I had seen online, And well well, to my surprise they had pretty much the exact same ingredients. So lets just say I went to Home Bargains that day and brought back 6 little tubs. You get 40 tablets per tub.

After much research online I discovered that a vitamin (Part of the vitamin B family) called Biotin is one of the main vitamins that helps hair growth.

I then shopped for tablets that are just ‘pure biotin’ And came across these tablets that have 10,000 micro grams of biotin. This tub is around £17 online for a years supply (365 tablets) of biotin tablets.

I take one ‘Skin, Hair & Nails’ tablet and one ‘biotin’ tablet everyday.

I’ve read that these tablets can take 3 months to get into your system before you see any result. I’ve been taking these tablets now for 6 months and my hair has grown approximately 3-4 inches. My hair feels so much thicker and healthier too.

However I will give you a further update in a few more months.

So All in all it is around £30 for ONE YEARS supply of ‘Skin, Hair & Nails’ and ‘Biotin’.

Just another little tip, so I’m not carrying 2 tubs of tablets around with me, I put 40 ‘Biotin’ tablets in the ‘Skin, Hair & Nails’ tub, and just carry the one tub.

With additional research on hair growth I also came across a shampoo and conditioner called ‘Mane n Tail’ . I believe this started off as a hair shampoo used for horses to make their ‘Mane n Tail’s become much thicker, longer and healthier before entering horse competitions. However after many years humans have started to use it and they now sell this in most shops and online such as Sainsbury’s and Boots, Ebay, Amazon and Wallmart (for my American friends) I have only just started using these and will blog with an update and result.

Currently my hair is : 24 inches long.
