I actually wrote this on November 6th. However I have no idea where the time has gone. I’ve been so busy and not even had a moment to post this, I’m sorry its weeks late…..
So this was supposed to be about a crazy fad diet a.k.a ‘The Wheetbix diet’ … Unfortunately that was short lived as a day into it I came down with the flu. So now I’m writing about my flu, How exciting. Haha, No, I’ll write about a few fad diets I’ve heard of and why I’m going to test them out.
I know I have a slim build, However I’ve always been a certain size in clothing and whenever I gain a little weight I like to lose the weight I’ve gained and remain at the size I’ve always been, so this is why I sometimes try out a fad diet for a week or two. If I see on the scales that I’ve gone up a few pounds or my clothes seem a tad tighter than normal this is when I know It’s diet time.
Now, I’m definitely no nutritionist, I’m just writing about what I have seen on the internet or heard of , and there are several fad diets that I want to try and see if they work, these are mostly just a quick fix, and afterwards when I go back to eating normally again I’ll just make sure I remain eating healthier to keep off the pounds I’ve lost. And I’m not talking several pounds, just a few.
So here are a few fad diets and tips I’v heard about ( Just to name a few ), I will write about them in more detail if I end up doing one.
-The Wheetbix diet
– The Egg diet
– The no carb diet
– Cut out salt (water retention)
-Green tea (for metabolism)
-The soup diet
-Laxetee and Slimatee diet
-The cabbage soup diet
I will end up writing another blog with loads of little tips about dieting that I’v picked up, but the above is just a couple I’ve come across so far.
As I’ve come down with the Flu I am going try out the soup diet, I will weigh myself and then try this diet for a week, making notes of exactly what it is I’m eating and how I feel, if I feel sick, tired, lack of energy, moody etc.
Plus soup always makes you feel better when you’re feeling a little ill. Last week was horrible as I was pretty much in bed every night sihivering, my whole body felt so cold. I was lay there, joggers on, fluffy socks, t-shirt, jumper, dressing gown or as Americans like to say ‘Robe’. And I would still feel so cold. I tired The Wheetbix diet for a day but as I had the flu and they always say “you should feed a cold”, my body wanted to eat whatever it wanted.
Please keep in mind that a ‘fad diet’ isn’t very healthy and you shouldn’t do one for more than a couple weeks. A lot of people will always say no to fad diets, however I just find that sometimes they work for me as a quick fix for a few little extra pounds, Whilst on a fad diet I always make sure I take multi vitamin tablets so I get the vitamins my body needs.
